Consumer Voice Snapshot
A global chemical company needed to learn where its buyers were.
Chemours needed to position key industrial chemicals against direct competitors across three distinct markets. We produced three Consumer Voice (CV) Snapshots that mapped each market’s conversation, revealing where buyers were asking questions, comparing suppliers, and making decisions. Those insights became a baseline foundation for Chemours’ go-to-market strategy.
Now running continuously and expanded into additional product areas as market conditions shift.
Same chemistry. Three different conversations.
Chemours wanted to understand how its industrial chemicals were perceived across three distinct markets serving high-end electronics and telecommunications manufacturers. Each market had its own buyers, competitors, priorities, and usage language. Before refining its positioning, Chemours needed to understand how each conversation worked – and where its products fit within it.
One method. Three market views.
We developed three Consumer Voice (CV) Snapshots – one each for automotive, consumer electronics, and oil and gas. Each analysis combined conversational data from the open web describing Chemours and its competitors when buyers ask questions. Using the same methodology, KPIs, and competitive benchmarks across all three studies, Chemours could compare markets side by side and identify where each product was best positioned to compete.

Four measures, one benchmarked snapshot per sector.
From three snapshots to a go-to-market strategy.
The analysis revealed where competitors were gaining visibility, where buyers were gathering information, and where Chemours had opportunities to strengthen its position. Those insights informed product positioning, trade show strategy, and content development, while providing a clearer understanding of each market’s buyer journey.
Today, Chemours continues to monitor these markets as they evolve. The program has expanded into additional product areas, and consumer voice intelligence has become a recurring input into the company’s go-to-market planning.
Metric Centric’s conversational analytic programs listen to and monitor the needs of end users across any marketplace. The insights we gain enable us to better communicate with the manufacturing industry leaders across various market sectors we serve.
